Mental Health of Seafarers

2009: Stella Maris Melbourne joined with Beyond Blue, The Rotary Club of Melbourne South, Melbourne Port Welfare Association and the Mission to Seafarers Victoria to initiate and produce a booklet providing basic information to Masters and other ship officers about the mental illness of depression. In addition to English, the booklet has been translated into other languages and since its official launch mid-2010, it has been distributed by Ship Visitors to the crews visiting Melbourne.
